All bills have a preprinted return envelope
that may be used to return your payment to Federated. If you lose or prefer not to use the
return envelope, you may mail your payment to Federated Rural Electric, PO Box 69,
Jackson, MN 56143-0069. Members who would like to personally pay Federated may do so at
our headquarters located 1 mile south of Jackson on Highway 71 between 8 AM and
4:30 PM,
Monday through Friday. A drive-up payment drop box is also available at this location. The
Welcome State Bank also accepts members' payment of Federated bills.
Methods of payment
Besides cash, check or money orders, you also have three other methods to pay your
electric bill. Call our office for a brochure if you are interested in any of these
programs.
• Auto Pay - Sign up to have your monthly bill automatically deducted from your checking or savings account on the due date. Never worry about late payments or finding a stamp again!
• Even Pay - If you see high and low electric bills that vary greatly from month to month, sign up for Even Pay. After your account has a 13 month history, we'll use the average amount as your monthly payment. You can also use the Auto Pay plan so you can forget about your electric bill.
• Credit cards - Charge it! Use your Visa, Master Card or Discover Card over the phone or at our office. You will still need to read your meter every month with any of these payment options. Just call us with the meter reading (1-800-321-3520) or submit it via our web page.
Penalties
Any bill received after its due date will be assessed a late payment penalty. The penalty
percentage and amount due, including the penalty, are shown on the bill.
