Federated Employees and Directors
Board of Directors

The Board of Directors represent the interests of Federated members. A director serves a four-year term and is elected by the membership at the Annual Meeting. These are the duties of the directors:
Attend monthly meetings and serve as a delegate at committee meetings, plus district, state and national conferences as needed. • Attend director training sessions.
Approve policies, procedures and budget for Federated. Read reports, policies and other information pertaining to the co-op.
Assure democratic process at the co-op according to the Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation.
Evaluate Federated's performance and plan for growth.
Receive meeting per diem, mileage and out-of-pocket expenses if traveling on co-op business.
Hire, employ and terminate, if needed, a general manager.
Each director represents
his/her district. Federated has six district representatives and one
at-large.

General ManagerFederated's General Manager, Richard Burud, is the liaison between the Board of Directors and employees. He oversees Federated's daily operations. He also plans for your cooperative's future, looking out for your best interests — reliable electric service at the lowest possible cost. |

These employees brave the elements to restore your electricity after storms -- day or night. Whether they are constructing new lines, doing maintenance or trouble-shooting, reliable electric service for you is their main goal.
