Heartland Security
You wouldn't trust just anybody
with your home
security
and you'll sleep better knowing a security system protects your home and family. Our easy-to-operate security systems are designed to carefully guard and monitor your family and personal property 24 hours a day, year-round, whether or not you're home.
The need for home security today is greater than ever. In fact, the U.S. Department of Justice predicts that there will be a serious crime committed in one of every four homes within the next 10 years if current trends continue.
Fortunately, you can help protect yourself and your loved ones from becoming a statistic by obtaining a home security system. According to FBI studies, homes with monitored security systems are 15 times less likely to be burglarized than those without.
What will a Heartland Security Security system do?
Home
security systems protect your property while you are away and guard you and your family
from the threat of intruders when you are home. When an alarm in your home is triggered,
your system alerts the W-H
International monitoring center, in Rockford, Minnesota. Then dispatching the
proper authorities.
We will customize your security system to best meet your individual needs and our trained installers will teach you and your family how to use the system properly.
More than just intrusion protection
Basic elements of a standard system include a control panel; a siren; an inside motion detector; and door and window sensors. Several other options can be added to protect your home and family from a number of additional concerns:
- Smoke and fire sensors According to the National Fire Protection Association, house fires in the United States cause $556,000 in damage every year. Store-bought smoke detectors serve you well when you are home. However, a smoke sensor on your security system prompts a quick response, whether you are at home or away because a signal is immediately sent to our monitoring center when smoke is detected and Heartland Security dispatchers then alert the proper authorities.
- Glass break sensors These sensors are sensitive to frequencies caused by breaking glass, and are usually placed on the ceiling in the center of a room. They are particularly economical in rooms that have a large number of windows.
- High/low temperature sensors Alleviate the worry of your pipes freezing when you are away from home with high/low sensors. This sensor installed on your security system detects temperature fluctuations that rise above or fall below preset levels. When dispatchers receive a signal from a high/low sensor, dispatchers will call the individuals you have designated as key holders.
- Ventilation sensors Protect your valuable livestock. When the conditions fall below or rise above pre-set levels, a signal is sent.
- Latch key features If you have school-age children who are home by themselves part of the day, you will especially appreciate this feature. Compatible systems can be programmed to page parents when their children arrive home each day. The moment a child punches in the security system code at home, a pager signal alerts parents that their son or daughter arrived home safely.
- Medic Alert Panic Buttons These are especially valuable for people with health problems or for senior citizens. Among nine cooperative territories, 15 percent of customers surveyed indicated they have a medical condition in the home and a signal immediately alerts help when activated.
- Carbon monoxide detectors Known as the "silent killer", accidental carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning accounts for nearly 300 deaths and 5,000 injuries every year, according to the Consumer Products Safety Commission. CO sensors installed on security systems protect you and your family from this odorless, colorless threat 24 hours a day. If CO levels in your home reach a dangerous point, this sensor will alert you and the monitoring center. If necessary, the proper authorities will be dispatched to your home.
